![]() ![]() ![]() Ignore that the license shows up as “NO-REDISTRIBUTION”, an error in the data-mirroring from userstyles that I’m pretty annoyed about, personally. Anyone who uses Styl us rather than Styl ish (which should be everyone, IMHO Stylish failed me one too many times) will want to install from this page instead: Ask Fedora: Cleaner fixed-width fonts. Customization used to be visible immediately, now you have to click to expose it.)Įdit: Actually, scratch that. (The userstyle installation page for Stylus/Stylish extension users is still alive (or alive again) at - though the interface is significantly more clunky than on the old site. Liberation Mono has the obvious edge (and thus, I made the default-default) due to it also being a totally free/libre font. I found all four of those to be sufficiently inoffensive visually. The UserStyle I built to customize the font locally (which I still have installed, so I wasn’t even aware Consolas had made an unwelcome reappearance) defaults to Liberation Mono, but allows the choice of Lucida Console, Menlo, and Monaco via its customization page. ![]() It comes in six styles: Calvert Pro and Standard, each with Light, Regular and Bold variants. Calvert is a punchy slab serif from Monotype. You can use a single font and adjust the weight, the size or the colour. This applies even if youre not pairing fonts. The awesomeness of Fira Code’s ligatures is far more awesome in a code editor, than in fixed-width listings and inline monospace code in discussion threads. Which will be for display and which for body text. That aside, I don’t think I’d even choose it myself, for an online forum like this. (I don’t think we should use FIra Code, because, while it is clever, the ligatures might cause confusion for people not expecting them.)įor the record, since I brought it into the conversation: Agreed, I would never advocate thrusting it upon anyone who didn’t specifically go out of their way to choose it. ![]()
